...we can finally eat again.
so i've been living in this apartment for about a little over 3 weeks now. it has been quite exciting, and i've been cooking quite a bit. i like to consider myself an "experimental chef", which is to say that i actually prepare steam rice, look whatever is in the fridge and throw them into a cast iron, make some scrambled eggs, and smother them all with soy sauce and call it "dinner". i hope the few people who have tried my dishes found them satisfactory. on another note, my roommate is learning to be quite the bartender. actually he only knows how to make one drink, and about three different variations of it, but it's still pretty cool.
last night i went to this party at a friend's condo. there was an "80's theme" where people had to dress up like in the 80's or something ridiculous, and it was also a "krunkfizzle". i'm not sure what a "krunkfizzle" is (i lied, i know exactly what that means...sort of), but i went inside and apparently i found that the spiked punch was inside a...trashcan. it was kind of unsettling at first until a friend assured me that it was brand new and clean. well that was good enough so i just took one those plastic red cups and scooped it out.
wow, i just realized that i got drunk last night from spiked punch out of a trash can. add that to my ever growing list of things to "never do again". but moving on today's important news...
i finally got a job. apparently petco needed someone at the grooming department. at my interview this morning they asked me if i have ever handled pets before or if i am scared of dogs. of course i said no, but i looked inside a cage and this poodle was growling at me, which made me immediately regret my answer and the fact that i could possibly be working there. then the manager asked how soon i could work and i said "oh very soon in fact" and they're like "ok you can start tommorow". i almost said "wtf" before they quickly remarked that they weren't going to be there tommorow, so instead i will start training/work on tuesday. honestly, i'm not exactly looking forward to washing dogs all the time. but i need to start making money somewhere. and i guess this is the place for me.
sigh
