nostalgia

for the longest time i randomly recall images of this one movie i saw when i was a kid. it was pretty cool. it involved this boy who somehow ended up in this weird world and he got there with this warped out bed and trying to rescue the kingdom from this dark monster thing. i know, it sounds stupid, but it was awesome when i watched it back then. otherwise why would i still remember it now?

anyways everytime it popped into my head it would really bother me because i just couldn't figure out what the movie was called. then randomly on facebook (with it's scary newsfeed feature) i noticed that some friends of mine joined this group called "if you remember this you grew up in the 90's" or something. so i checked it out and read the list, and it mostly contained tv show references or some fads when i grew up. my favorite was this one that said "back then, 'race issues' were just about who could run the fastest". but overall it gave me a feel good laughs and a nice nostalgic feeling. sigh good times

well then there was about 3000+ pictures in that group photo album and i noticed one that was a poster of this kid riding on a flying bed. it was called "little nemo: adventures in slumberland" and i googled it and saw the trailer. success! i have finally discovered what that movie was at last. it was quite exciting. now all i have to do is find a way to watch that movie again.

i got my first paycheck today. i just realized that my $6 an hour for a part time is probably not going to help my financial situation (mostly rent and food). oh well, i just hope i won't have to find two. that would be most troublesome.

oh how i long for the past, but sometimes i think about how the only reason i am here today is because i mostly ran away from it.
