to what do i owe this pleasure...

...of having many friends wish me a happy birthday. i feel so special.

many many thanks to all the people who took the time to write a note, give me a ring, or draw a picture for this occasion. i was surprised at the quantity of emails informing me of people who wrote on my facebook wall when i got home last night.

and for some notable thank-yous:
-to angy from work who bought me a cupcake and decided to inform the whole publix staff that it was my birthday. it was kind of embarrassing but thanks anyways
-to marvin and dma, who called me to make sure i was on my way to houston so we can party, but since i "missed" my flight, decided to go get drunk for me instead. i hope you kids are safe.
-to anthony, joyce, lynna, deborah, and skot: though i know how difficult it is to maneuver a mouse around to create a piece of art on the computer, i really appreciate the creativity and effort you guys put into it. joyce and the tropical beach scene, lynna having balloons in the background, deborah with the beautiful bubbles, and skot drawing the most jank monkey i have ever seen. anthony tried, and that's what is most important. thank you guys.
-to stephen, who drew all the things i ever wanted. jeans, a wallet, a bottle of ciroc, and well, i'm not sure what that girl with the heart over her head is supposed to mean. he also got a bunch of girls to sing happy birthday over speaker phone. you're a pro. thanks for always reminding me to ctfo.
-to cheen and sally, my two best florida buds since forever. thanks for visiting me at work, it was a nice break from putting up pet food on the shelf and showing people where condensed milk was. i can't wait to watch transformers with you guys later tonight. yay thanks dudes.
-and of course, alice who devoted a whole blog entry to me, titled "happy birfday". i just want to let you know, i eat mah cake. it was good.

a final thank you to all those who told me to be sure to party it hard, down, up, left, right, whatever other direction you can party in, and not to party too hard. and of course friendly reminders not to drink too much, to get incredibly wasted, and to make sure i don't collapse my lung, break my arm, or end up in the hospital, and that i was both loved and getting old. you guys are all awesome

yay i'm 21!
